The first Gold Coast high rise was built back in 1959, the beginning of the city’s high rise property development of hotels and residential unit blocks that boomed during the 1970s. Shockingly, a lot of these buildings still have their old windows! Apart from the obvious issues of rattles and leaks, the glass in this old window technology also has a much lower wind and safety rating than the new windows Amalgamated Group uses for window installs today.
