12. Keeping Information Accurate and How Long We Hold It

We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we hold is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant. If your details change, please let us know so we can update our records.

We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will respond within a reasonable period. There is no charge for making a request, although we may charge a reasonable fee for giving access in certain cases. If we refuse access or a correction, we will explain our reasons in writing and how you can complain.

We have processes in place to respond to data breaches. If we experience an eligible data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, we will comply with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme in Part IIIC of the Privacy Act, including notifying the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
