What Facade Refurbishment Actually Involves
A standard repaint covers what's on the surface. Facade refurbishment addresses what's behind it.
We start with a condition assessment – looking for failed coatings, moisture ingress, cracked render, concrete spalling and anything else that needs to be fixed before a new system goes on. The scope typically covers:
- Stripping delaminating or failed coatings back to a sound substrate
- Concrete crack repairs and render patching
- Waterproofing where moisture ingress is present
- Surface preparation and priming to manufacturer specification
- Application of a new protective coating system matched to the building's exposure level
We specify Dulux and Taubmans systems based on the substrate and environment. A beachfront building in Noosa needs a different spec to a Brisbane CBD tower, and getting that right is what separates a lasting result from one you'll be revisiting in five years.

For multi-storey and high-rise facades, our IRATA-certified team uses rope access and abseil painting to work at height without scaffolding – faster and less disruptive for complex facade programs.
